Improvements in Electrocardiography Smoothening and Amplification

چکیده
The electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is a graphic recording of the time-variant voltages produced by the myocardium during the cardiac cycle. The P, QRS, and T waves reflect the rhythmic electrical depolarization and re-polarization of the myocardium associated with the contractions of the atria and ventricles. The electrocardiogram is generally used clinically in diagnosing diseases of the heart. Hence, it must be very accurate. The ECG waveform is a periodic signal with bandwidth of 0.05 Hz to 100 Hz. Amplitude is typically 1 milli-volt peak to peak in the presence of much larger (1000 times larger) external high frequency noise plus 50/60 Hz interference common mode voltages (common to all electrode signals). We present a method to eliminate much of the noise using a pre-amplifier design with high common mode rejection ratio and high input impedance. We verify our results using computer simulation of the signal via the software MULTISIM 9.0.

Linear and Nonlinear Approach Fordem Smoothening
One of the biggest problems faced while analyzing digital elevation models (DEMs), particularly DEMs that are produced using photogrammetry, is to avoid pits and peaks in DEMs. Peaks and pits, which are errors, are generated during the surface generation process. DEM smoothening is an important preprocessing step meant for removing these errors. This paper discusses two linear DEM smoothening m...
متن کاملAmplification and Filtering Of ECG Signal Using Instrumentation Amplifier
This paper deals with the process of generation of ECG signal and discusses the general shape of the ECG waveform and its generation by using the three bipolar limb lead method based on Einthoven’s Triangle. Since the ECG signal has amplitude in mV range, its observation requires the use of Instrumentation Amplifier and moreover, filter is also used for smoothening the signal. Index Items: Eint...
متن کاملSurface smoothening mechanism of amorphous silicon thin films.
An important concern in the deposition of thin hydrogenated amorphous silicon () films is to obtain smooth surfaces. Herein, we combine molecular-dynamics simulations with first-principles density functional theory calculations to elucidate the smoothening mechanism of plasma deposited thin films. We show that the deposition precursor may diffuse rapidly on the film surface via overcoordinated ...

Background & Aims: Tuberculosis is a known infectious disease for human being from ancient times. Although there are worldwide improvements in treatment of patients, especially in developed countries, it is still a major health problem in some developing countries. In this study perieardial involvement of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis is investigated. Methods & Material: In this case-cont...
متن کاملContinuous Electrocardiography in Dogs and Cats
A new electrocardiogram (ECG) was started in 1961 when J. Norman Holter introduced a system to record the ECG of a patient during their activities for long periods of time. This method was identified as a method of continuous electrocardiography (CE), long-term electrocardiogram, dynamic electrocardiography, ambulatory electrocardiographic, or simply Holter. In subsequent years, the development...
